The research group in Germersheim focuses both on translators of literary texts in the broadest sense and on cross-cutting issues of translator history such as the exile journals and publishing houses as well as the fate of texts. The topographical focus is mainly on Eastern and Northern Europe (Scandinavia, the Baltic States, the Soviet Union).
